The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the website area on a regular basis. The service stage designed for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this sassa reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
